I am a current PhD student at Griffith University, investigating female performance in elite kayaking and canoeing. My program of research aims to improve the way which we can predict performance and identify the future stars of flatwater sprint kayaking. This includes identifying athletes' inheritable traits relating to their muscle morphology, endocrinology and personality traits which are linked to their competitive nature. I am lucky to be involved with Paddle Australia at their AIS facility on the Gold Coast.
